Owning an airsoft rifle is the dream of every kid who just never really grew up. When we were kids we wanted the ultimate toy – a pellet Gun that looked like what we saw in the movies. Airsoft rifles can fulfil that need – there’s just something about them that turns grown men into kids all over again. Hundreds of thousands of airsoft owners all over the world can testify to this.
Airsoft rifles may look like toys to some people but when you pick one up you suddenly realize that they’re anything but toys. They mimic the real thing so closely that most airsoft guns are now manufactured with an orange flash at the end of the gun barrel. Why? So that both police and army personnel can tell the difference between a real gun and an airsoft model!
Although airsoft rifles may look and feel somewhat like the real thing that’s where the similarity ends. Airsoft guns are non-lethal because they only fire a 6mm plastic pellet. These are available in variety of weights as well as in glow-in-the-dark and paintball variants and are ideal for tin can or home target shooting.
The neat thing about airsoft rifles are that you can own just about any rifle or assault rifle you can imagine – from the old Thomson submachinegun to the far more modern H&K G36 special ops assault weapon. You can buy a standard sighted rifle, sniper rifle, shotgun, sawn off shotgun, assault pistol and also standard carbines. Heck you can even own the Marine M-41A assault rifle from the Alien (TM) movies – it’s a modifier kit for an M4 airsoft rifle but having this option is still incredible and a real bonus for the airsoft fans who also love sci-fi.
Once you’ve picked the model you want you then need to choose what type of firing system the gun will have. Airsoft guns can be purchased in spring, gas and AEG (airsoft electric gun) variants with AEGs offering the highest firing rates and usually the highest pellet velocities. Certain spring powered airsoft rifles can outperform electric airsofts in single shot power however – so bear this in mind when you’re buying your new gun. Spring powered are the cheapest, gas powered are next up from there and finally AEGs top the table in terms of cost (but also in terms of features and fun).
Words can’t really express the feeling of excitement you feel when you get your first airsoft gun. There’s hours of fun target and tin can shooting ahead of you. Have fun with your gun and stay safe!

When it comes to turkey hunting there are a few things you need to know. How to call a turkey, how to dress properly for the hunt and what equipment will get the job done. One of the most important pieces of hunting equipment you will take with you into the fields is your turkey hunting shotgun.
When it comes to turkey shotguns, you need to make sure the shotgun you choose has a few specific features. The Gun must be reliable, easy to use, maneuverable, have a tight shot pattern out to about 40 yards and have a non-glare finish.
You might be thinking that this is a lot to ask of a turkey shotgun. But realize that these are essential features if you are to have any success during your next turkey hunt. The best part, each of these shotguns retail for less than $ 500. Let’s take a look.
1. Winchester Super X Black Shadow- Living up to the great name of Winchester, the Black shadow sports a matte black finish, vented rib and a 26 inch or 28 inch barrel capable of taking choke tubes. It has a composite stock and fires 2 3/4 inch, 3 inch and 3 1/2 inch shells. Though Winchester describes this gun as a general purpose field gun, it will get the pattern on target. This 12 gauge pump shotgun is priced at $ 400.
2. Mossberg 500 Turkey Thug- This turkey gun builds on Mossberg’s tried and proven Model 500 shotgun. This 12 gauge, pump action shotgun has a 24 inch barrel, XX-Full Choke tube, adjustable fiber optic sights, an adjustable trigger and a synthetic stock. Some models are also available in Mossy Oak Break-Up camo. Retailing at just over $ 400, the Black Shadow is sure to hit the target without leaving your wallet feeling too light.
3. Remington Model 870 with Express Turkey Camo- This 12 gauge shotgun by Remington definitely doesn’t skimp on features. It has a 21 inch barrel, Full Rem choke, fiber optic sights and a synthetic stock and fore-end finished in Mossy Oak Break-Up camo. Shooting both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells, this gun will take on the harshest of weather and perform with amazing knock down power. Priced at $ 450, the Model 870 is sure to exceed all your needs when you head out to the field.
While there seems to be no shortage of turkey shotguns on the market today, finding one with all the features you need without busting your wallet is key. Any of these shotguns offer great value and extreme performance. Best of luck on your next hunt.

Bullet for My Valentine is a Welsh metalcore band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. Bullet for My Valentine band is composed of Matt Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Paget (lead guitar), Jason James (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Michael Thomas (drums). Bullet for My Valentine was formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. Financial difficulties dictated the name change, which was followed by a change in music direction. In 2002, the Bullet for My Valentine band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG. Bullet for My Valentine band has stated that their music is influenced by classic heavy metal acts such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Slayer.
